antiX MEPIS is an unofficial, open source distribution of Linux, developed based on the famous Debian GNU/Linux operating system. antiX MEPIS is compatible with 32-bit computers with Intel-AMD x86 architecture, and serves as the IceWM window manager.
Initially, antiX MEPIS was distributed via two ISO images, one for the 64-bit structure and one for the 32-bit structure. However, newer versions are currently only downloaded via Live CDs that are compatible with x86 hardware platforms. IceWM handles the graphical session in the antiX MEPIS operating system, provides a traditional desktop environment, and creates a single taskbar at the bottom of the computer screen.
